being selfless has little to do with being nice. 
being selfless is doing things with the benefit of others in mind, which often requires being firm.
i should think about being more firm...while being selfless.

I should think more about god, or 'the force' or whatever you want to call it, the force that brings all of our wills together. Every time i pray about something bad in my life, every time i look at from god's perspective and ask for help, god/the force/our collective will manages to turn it into good.

my friend mikey's gf is in kl and she's an accountant and part-time singer. they have a super-professional band and i'm listening to their cd now. all day long that girl's voice is so powerful, it makes me want to cry.

and last, i read on xanga a long time ago that 'luck is when preparations meet opportunities'. it makes good sense.

Our project leader on the contractor's side was actually in the last carriage of the 'Thursday-bomb' train. He only came out with this piece of information today, and said that all the lights went down in the tunnel, and people started screaming. Outside of his Laing O'Rourke job, he is a pastor.

Last friday we did the Myers-Briggs test and I scored 'ENFJ'. 'ENFJ's are 'the benevolent pedagogues of humanity'. HEEHEE.

My uncle called. I find it's much easier to talk to your uncles than to talk to your parents. I laugh a lot with uncles/aunties whereas it takes a lot longer to have a good laugh with my parents, maybe because i expect a lot more from them.

I am seriously praying a lot that i will not hurt anyone again, especially in the next month. i don't mind getting hurt, but i think it's about time i learnt to be more considerate and not hurt those who get very close to me.

I am planning a trip. Is it stupid to travel on September 11th?

blogging from work here...so where exactly is 'safe' to walk? i need to get to swiss cottage, primrose hill and finsbury park tomorrow. if i haven't blogged by sunday, i am missing.

i love people...i don't love buildings as much...i want to read and talk...not draw. 'do what my parents did' my school friend said. they were architects, turned academics. from now on, less drawing, more reading.

on a different note...my mentor is a better version of me and constantly shows me things i could never have seen on my own. i guess that's real authority, something you willingly submit to.
